1. Introduction
Six Sticks ("the App", "the Game") is a single-player digital adaptation of the ancient Chinese game of Liubo, developed and published by Human NPC Studio ("we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
2. What We Collect
Gameplay Analytics
We collect anonymous gameplay events to understand how the game is played and to improve balance:
- Game outcomes (win, loss, draw)
- Game mode (classic, best-of-three, etc.)
- Number of turns and game duration
- AI difficulty / opponent selected
- Screen views inside the app
This data is collected via Firebase Analytics. It is associated with an anonymous device identifier (Apple's Identifier for Vendor on iOS, or a Firebase-generated ID on Android), not with your name or email address.
Crash & Diagnostic Data
If the app crashes or behaves unexpectedly, we collect a crash report (stack trace, device model, OS version) via Firebase Crashlytics so we can fix the bug. These reports do not contain personally identifiable information.
Game Center / Google Play Games (optional)
If you sign in to Game Center (iOS) or Google Play Games (Android), the platform provides us with your in-game display name and a player ID so leaderboards work. You can play the entire game without signing in — in that case, we never see this data.
What We Do Not Collect
- Your real name, email address, or phone number
- Your location
- Your contacts, photos, or files
- Payment information — the App contains no in-app purchases
- Microphone or camera data — the App does not request these permissions
3. How We Use This Data
- To balance the game (e.g., spotting AI difficulty levels that are too easy or too hard)
- To identify and fix bugs and crashes
- To improve the user experience based on aggregate usage patterns
- To run leaderboards if you opt in to Game Center / Google Play Games
We do not use any of this data for advertising, profiling, or third-party tracking.
4. App Tracking Transparency (iOS)
Six Sticks does not track you across apps and websites owned by other companies. We do not use the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA), and we do not display the App Tracking Transparency prompt.
5. Third-Party Services
The App relies on the following third-party services, each governed by its own privacy policy:
- Firebase Analytics (Google) — anonymous gameplay events. Firebase Privacy

6. Data Retention
Anonymous analytics events are retained by Firebase according to the project's retention settings (typically 14 months) and are then automatically deleted. Crash reports are retained for 90 days.
If you uninstall the App, no further data is collected from your device.
7. Children's Privacy
Six Sticks does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The game contains no advertising, no chat or social features, and no in-app purchases. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
8. Your Rights & Data Deletion
Because we don't link analytics data to a name or email address, there is typically no profile tied to you personally that we can look up. If you signed in to Game Center or Google Play Games, you can revoke that connection from your device's platform settings at any time.
To request deletion of any data potentially associated with your device, send an email to support@humannpc.com with "Six Sticks Data Deletion" in the subject. Please include your platform (iOS or Android) and approximate first-use date so we can locate the relevant analytics records. Requests are processed within 30 days.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Effective Date" at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be highlighted in the App's release notes.
