Invite a friend, share a link, and design your next quilt together. See each other's cursors, place blocks simultaneously, and watch your shared vision come to life.

What It Does

QuiltWall's collaboration feature turns your design wall into a shared workspace. When you start a collaboration session and share the join link, anyone who opens it sees the same design wall you do, updated in real time. Place a block and your collaborator sees it appear instantly. Change a fabric and they see the swap the moment it happens.

Each participant gets a colored cursor that is visible to everyone else, so you always know where your partner is working. This makes it easy to coordinate ("I will work on the top-left corner while you handle the border") and discuss layout decisions as you make them.

Collaboration works beautifully for guild sew-alongs, mother-daughter design sessions, or anytime you want a second pair of eyes on your layout. All changes are synchronized through QuiltWall's servers, so it works no matter where your collaborator is in the world.

How to Use It

  1. Click Collaborate

    Open the Collaborate panel from the toolbar. QuiltWall creates a unique session and generates a shareable join link.

  2. Share the Link

    Copy the link and send it to your friend via text, email, or however you prefer. They click the link and join your session in their browser.

  3. Design Together

    Both of you can place blocks, swap fabrics, resize the wall, and make any design changes. Everything syncs live, and you can see each other's cursors moving across the wall.

  4. Changes Sync Instantly

    Every block placement, fabric change, and layout adjustment is reflected on both screens within moments. No refreshing, no saving, no waiting.

Tips & Tricks

Use voice or video chat alongside QuiltWall. The collaboration is visual only. Pair it with a phone call, FaceTime, or Zoom for the best experience when designing together.

Take snapshots before collaborating. Save a snapshot of your current design first so you can compare "before collaboration" and "after" side by side.

Divide and conquer. Watch each other's cursors and work on different areas of the quilt simultaneously. One person can experiment with borders while the other refines the center medallion.

Your link is your session key. Only people with the link can join. When you end the session, the link stops working and your design stays private.
