What It Does

The QuiltWall Community is a shared library of quilt blocks and full quilt designs created and published by quilters like you. Think of it as a pattern library that grows every day, with new block variations, color combinations, and creative layouts contributed by the community.

You can browse the entire library without logging in or creating an account. When you find a block you love, add it to your personal library with one click and start using it on your design wall immediately. You can also browse complete quilt designs and load them onto your wall to study layouts, learn from other quilters, or use as a starting point for your own creation.

When you are ready to give back, publishing your own blocks is simple. Add a name, description, and a few tags so others can find it. Your block becomes available to every QuiltWall user, and you get credit as the creator.

How to Use It

  1. Open the Community Browser

Click the Community button in the toolbar. The browser opens with a gallery of published blocks and designs, searchable by name, tag, or creator.

  2. Find a Block You Love

Scroll through the gallery or use the search bar. Each block shows a preview, the creator's name, and any tags they added. Click a block to see it in full detail.

  3. Add It to Your Library

Click "Add to Library" and the block appears in your block picker, ready to use on your design wall just like any built-in pattern.

  4. Publish Your Own Blocks

Designed a custom block you are proud of? Open the Community panel, click "Publish," and add a name, description, and tags. Your block is instantly available to every QuiltWall user.

  5. Share Full Designs

Share your entire quilt layout as a link. Anyone with the link can load your design onto their wall, see your fabric choices, and use it as a jumping-off point for their own version.

Tips & Tricks

🔍

Use specific tags when publishing. Tags like "modern," "traditional," "foundation-pieced," or "holiday" help other quilters find your block when searching.

🎨

Recolor community blocks freely. When you add a community block to your library, it becomes yours to customize. Swap fabrics, change colors, and make it your own.

💬

Write a useful description. A sentence or two about your block's inspiration, difficulty level, or best use helps other quilters decide if it is right for their project.

Browse without an account. You do not need to sign in to explore the community. Only publishing and adding blocks to your library require a free account.
