Export & Print

Take your design from screen to sewing room. Export as PNG, generate a complete PDF design sheet, print directly, and build your shopping list.

What It Does

QuiltWall gives you multiple ways to get your finished design off the screen and into your hands. The simplest is PNG export, which saves a high-resolution image of your design wall that you can share on social media, email to a friend, or use as a reference photo while you sew. PNG export is free for everyone.

For quilters who want the full package, PDF export generates a professional design sheet that includes your quilt layout, a fabric legend with swatches and names, calculated yardage requirements for every fabric, and detailed cutting instructions with shapes, sizes, and quantities. It is everything you need in one printable document. PDF export is a QuiltWall Plus feature.

Beyond export, QuiltWall includes a built-in print function that sends your design directly to your printer, a shopping list generator that formats your fabric needs for a trip to the quilt shop, and a color palette extractor that pulls the dominant colors from your design for reference.

Tips & Tricks

📱

Save the PNG to your phone. Export a PNG and save it to your camera roll. When you are at the fabric store, pull it up to compare prints against your design on the spot.

📋

Print the shopping list separately. The shopping list is designed to be compact and readable. Print it on its own so you can check off fabrics as you find them at the shop.

📐

Check yardage before buying. The PDF includes calculated yardage with a built-in safety margin. Always double-check against your specific pattern's requirements if you are working from a published pattern.

🎨

Use the color palette for thread matching. The extracted color palette gives you hex values and visual swatches. Bring them to the thread display and match your quilting thread precisely.
