What It Does
Foundation Paper Piecing (FPP) is a technique where you sew fabric onto a printed paper template, following numbered sections in order. QuiltWall automates the template creation step: pick any block from the library (including custom blocks you have traced or designed), and it generates a complete set of FPP templates ready to print.
The generator uses adjacency analysis to determine an intelligent piecing order. It numbers each section so you sew from the center outward in a logical sequence, minimizing bulk and avoiding impossible seam angles. The result is a template that actually works at the sewing machine, not just a pretty diagram.
Each template includes a fabric-aware legend that maps section numbers to the fabrics you have assigned in your design. A mirror image option is available for blocks that need to be reversed (common in FPP since you sew on the back of the paper). You set the finished block size and seam allowance, and QuiltWall scales everything to match.
